Dr. Bankole Johnson, DSc, MD, MPhil, DFAPA, FRCPsych, ABSCP, ABPM, ABDA, FACFEI, is the Founder and CEO of Casa Privée. He is an eminent pioneer in the fields of addiction and neuropsychiatry.
With a wealth of experience as a researcher, Dr. Johnson has dedicated his career to understanding and treating addictions and psychopharmacology. He was the chairman of psychiatry at the University of Maryland, where he also led the brain sciences consortium in the neurosciences. He was also the former chairman of the department of psychiatry and neurobehavioral sciences at the University of Virginia. Furthermore, he has served as a professor of neurology, neuroscience, pharmacology, medicine, anatomy, and neurobehavioral sciences.
His credentials reflect immense expertise, experience, and a passion for advancing medical science. He has also made notable appearances, such as in the HBO Documentary “Addiction,” which received an Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a further tribute to his status in the field.
